ADAM (Accurate Droplet Atomization Module) is an atomizing injector for accurately delivering a working fluid to a working environment. It can be used in a SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system for DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) injection or in a DPF system for providing fuel to a combustion device in regenerating the DPF. The ADAM is able to create droplets with SMD (Sauter Mean Diameter) lower than 50μm at injection pressure lower than 3 bars without air assistance, and no flow-back is required. A common-rail method, in which opening time of the injector in the ADAM in a repeating cycle is adjusted according to a pre-determined command value, can be used for accurately controlling flow rate.
